Younger vacationers at the age of 40 seek an experience that can be shared on Instagram. Studies say that this “instagram” experience is the most important factor in choosing a vacation destination for millennials - those born around the 1980s and 90s. This view is reinforced by a survey of 2,000 British holidaymakers conducted by World Travel Market London (WTM). This survey showed that Instagram posts are much more important on vacation than alcohol: 78% of respondents aged 25-34 and 63% aged 18-24 said they were trying to envy photos on social networks. |
